Visit Janet to Kenya

Janet was in Kenya for a month this year. She worked hard for the foundation there. She brought computers to the schools and clothes to the people who need it.

In Kenya, she has embarked on a new project, namely to support widows who have to take care of their own children and grandchildren. That support means they get a small loan to buy a chicken or goat. With that chicken, the widow can provide for his own maintenance by selling the eggs. Or by selling milk from the goat. This allows you to start your own business. When it goes well, the loan is paid back without interest.  This project is a support for a project that a group of 25 women had already started. They have officially registered as an organisation with their own bank account and all participants have entered into a contract. Because these women are poor and only have a small amount, Janet wants to invest in this for a better result.

On the outing trip, Janet got to know a German man she told about the work on the plane. This entrepreneur, Peter Lazarus, was on his way to Kenya to visit his girlfriend and was raised with Janet for three days. He helped hand out the clothes and bring the computers to the schools. He was very happy to see Kenya in a different way than as a tourist.

Due to the bad weather, the dirt road had turned into a mud pool. As a result, the car couldn't brake anymore and we got an accident. Fortunately, it remained in material damage.

Once back in the Netherlands, Janet couldn't sit still and started a stand on braderieen. With the sale of the handmade items from Kenya, she called attention to the work of the foundation. She could tell a lot about her work and with the help of girlfriend Helen and sister-in-law Trudy many items were sold for the benefit of the foundation. It was a great success.

Janet can't do her job without the help of people around her.

John works at Albert Heyn XL in Tilburg. Because he gives the foundation a warm heart, he has arranged that the clothes that are not sold there go to the foundation.

Marco, Janet's neighbor installs new computers at companies and institutions for his work. He takes the old one for Janet's project in Kenya.

All the items collected go back to Kenya in December in a large container.

Photos and video recordings of the projects can be seen on this website. Janet was in Kenya for one month this year. one month this year in Kenya. There, she worked really hard for the foundation. She has brought computers to the schools and clothing to those who need it.
